Anne Arundel County Mortgage Assistance Program
The Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP) is designed for first time homebuyers needing assistance with down payments, closing costs, and reducing first mortgage amounts. Depending on your need, this program can provide up to $30,000 in assistance.
Important Notice: At this time, the current allocation of Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP) funds have been fully committed, however we expect funds to be available in the future. We encourage you to participate in our Homeownership Counseling Program at this time, so that you will be ready to utilize the MAP program when additional funds are made available (assuming you meet the income and other eligibility criteria listed here).
Anne Arundel County Workforce Housing Initiative Program
The Workforce Housing Initiative (WHI) provides up to $10,000 in funds to assist teachers, firefighters, police and other County and Board of Education employees in purchasing a home in Anne Arundel County. County funds are leveraged with the State of Maryland’s CDA program, which when combined with WHI funds, can provide up to $20,000 in closing cost and down payment assistance.
